President Donald Trump is slated to pay a visit to Rome in the coming days. According to the latest update posted by the Floyd County Republican Party to their Facebook page, his visit is now most likely to take place on Monday. Details are forthcoming. He is expected to headline a rally out at the Russell Regional Airport.

Today is the last day of advance voting in the November 3rd general election. Floyd County voters may cast their early ballots from 8 am until 5 pm at the Elections Office located inside the county’s Administration Building on East 4th Avenue, Garden Lakes Baptist Church at 2200 Redmond Circle, or at the Rome Civic Center at 400 Civic Center Drive.

Georgia continues to break records for early voting, according to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. As of 8 pm Thursday night, 3,619,278 ballots were cast. Of those, 2,466,556 were cast early in-person; the remaining 1,152,722 were cast absentee by mail.

Polls will be open on Election Day, next Tuesday, November 3rd from 7 am to 7 pm across Floyd County.
