AAA: GEORGIA’S GAS PRICES DROP BY THREE CENTS

Georgia’s gas prices decreased again over the past week, according to AAA, The Auto Club Group. Motorists statewide are now paying an average price of $1.95 per gallon of regular unleaded; that’s three cents less than last week, five cents less than a month ago, and 48 cents less than at this time last year.

It now costs $29.25 to fill a 15-gallon tank of gasoline; that’s $11.85 less than what motorists paid in April of 2019, when pump prices hit last year’s peak of $2.74 per gallon.

AAA spokesperson Montrae Waiters says, “The US has a very healthy level of gasoline stocks due to lower demand, and that is keeping gas prices low. Georgians most likely will continue to see cost savings at the pump until the end of fall.”
