CORONAVIRUS-RELATED FATALITIES TOP 8,000 IN GEORGIA

The number of fatalities related to the coronavirus has now exceeded 8,000 in Georgia, per the state Department of Public Health.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 364,589 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 8,029 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 4,174 confirmed cases and 61 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 31,971 and the most deaths with 629.
