Today is Veterans Day. The federal holiday is observed every year to honor those that have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The annual Veterans Day service hosted by Post 5 of the American Legion in Rome will be moved indoors due to weather concerns. It will get underway at 11 am at the post, 5 Shorter Avenue. Special precautions will be taken in light of coronavirus to include limited seating and social distancing, and attendees must wear face masks.
