Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced Wednesday that the state will conduct a hand recount of the almost five million votes cast in the November 3rd presidential race. The task must be finished by next Friday, November 20th, the certification deadline. Raffensperger additionally said that the Public Service Commission runoff that had been set for December 1st will now be held alongside the US Senate runoff on January 5th.
