FLOYD COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICIALS ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH RECOUNT IN NOVEMBER 3RD PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

The Floyd County Board of Elections and Registration has announced that it will move forward with a recount of local votes in the November 3rd general election, though it had yet to receive any guidance by the Secretary of State’s office as of Thursday.

According to a statement by board member Dr. Melanie Conrad posted to the Floyd County, GA – Government page on Facebook, “While we await these details, we are putting plans in place to implement the recount.”

A team of veteran poll workers and election officials will be gathered in order to conduct the recount, for which a tentative location will be the Community Room at the Floyd County Administration Building.

Dr. Conrad asserts, “Our plan is to make this as transparent and accessible to the public as possible.”

Plans are in the works to livestream the recount. Stay tuned to Floyd County’s Facebook page for updates.
