There was only one coronavirus-related fatality in Georgia on Sunday, per the state Department of Public Health, which also reported 1,962 new cases.
According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 386,949 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 8,462 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 4,591 confirmed cases and 67 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 33,935 and the most deaths with 651.
