The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday the closure of their administrative and visitation lobbies at the county jail until further notice due to the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases around this area. All finger print and background check services are suspended during this time. All registered sex offenders that need to fill out their registration packet or change their address should report to the booking lobby in the back of the jail to fill out necessary paperwork. The applications for the Sheriff Santa/Rome Fire First Responder Christmas Program are now being accepted online only (through 4:30 pm this Friday, November 20th) at www.floydsheriff.com.
