NUMBER OF CONFIRMED CORONAVIRUS CASES PASSED 400,000 MARK OVER THE WEEKEND IN GEORGIA

Georgia’s number of confirmed coronavirus cases passed the 400,000 mark over the weekend, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 2,026 new cases and just three virus-related fatalities on Sunday.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm on Sunday afternoon, there have been 404,411 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 8,627 deaths have been attributed to the virus. Here in Floyd County, there were 4,823 confirmed cases and 71 deaths. Fulton County had the highest number of confirmed cases statewide with 35,786, as well as most fatalities with 656.
