MEMBERS OF ROME’S HEALTHCARE COMMUNITY WARNING THE PUBLIC NOT TO BE COMPLACENT IN BATTLE AGAINST COVID-19 AMID HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS

Members of Rome’s healthcare community are warning locals not to become complacent in the battle against coronavirus as we approach the 2020 holiday season.

Dr. Edward McBride, Chief Medical Officer for the Harbin Clinic, indicates that family and small group gatherings can result in exposure to coronavirus, but attendees can reduce the risk by wearing their masks and via the practice of social distancing. Also, use common sense; avoid any large gatherings.

Dr. McBride urges holiday revelers to be particularly vigilant in minimizing the risk of exposure for older individuals and those who have chronic health conditions.

Harbin’s Chief Executive Officer Kenna Stock empathizes with those who are disappointed that Thanksgiving will be different this year and who struggle to figure out how to celebrate safely with loved ones.

Stock adds that even in a year as crazy as 2020, we all have much for which to be thankful.
