ANOTHER RECOUNT OF VOTES IN 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION UNDERWAY IN FLOYD COUNTY

The Floyd County Board of Elections is now in the midst of participation in the statewide recount of votes in the 2020 presidential election. The recount began on Tuesday afternoon at the Floyd County Administration Building on East 4th Avenue in downtown Rome. It will resume this morning at 9 am, this according to a release from the Floyd County Clerk. This recount will pause for Thanksgiving, then it will resume next week and will continue as long as needed to meet the deadline of Wednesday, December 2nd at midnight. Those who wish to attend the recount are strongly encouraged to wear a mask due to the uptick of COVID-19 in this area.
