CONFIRMED CORONAVIRUS CASES ROSE BY NEARLY 3,000 ON THURSDAY

Confirmed coronavirus cases rose by 2,946 in Georgia on Thursday, per the state Department of Public Health, which also reported 26 more virus-related deaths.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 413,909 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 8,716 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 4,975 confirmed cases and 76 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 36,793 and the most fatalities with 661.
