MORE THAN 420,000 PEOPLE IN GEORGIA CONFIRMED TO HAVE (OR HAVE HAD) COVID-19

Over 420,000 people in Georgia have (or have had) coronavirus, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 1,700 new cases Sunday as well as just four virus-related deaths.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 420,601 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state. A total of 8,778 fatalities have been attributed to the virus. In Floyd County, there were 5,048 confirmed cases and 77 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 37,351 and the most fatalities with 670.
