NEARLY 4,500 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED ACROSS GEORGIA ON THURSDAY

A total of 4,419 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Thursday across Georgia by the state’s Department of Public Health, which additionally noted 53 more virus-related fatalities. Three of those fatalities was reported here in Floyd County.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 433,353 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 8,879. In Floyd County, there were 5,221 confirmed cases and 80 fatalities. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 38,494 and the most deaths with 675.
