MORE THAN 6,000 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED IN GEORGIA ON THURSDAY

A total of 6,126 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Thursday across Georgia by the state’s Department of Public Health, which additionally noted 55 more virus-related deaths. Two of those fatalities were reported in Floyd County

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 462,175 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 9,123. In Floyd County, there were 5,630 confirmed cases and 89 fatalities. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 41,284 and the most deaths with 697.
