MORE THAN 4,000 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED IN GEORGIA ON SUNDAY

A total of 4,336 new cases of coronavirus were reported across Georgia on Sunday by the state’s Department of Public Health, which additionally noted just one virus-related fatality.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 476,044 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 9,205. In Floyd County, there were 5,742 confirmed cases and 92 fatalities. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 42,467 and the most deaths with 707.

The DPH will offer free COVID-19 testing in Rome over at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, 1400 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm on today, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
