ADVANCE VOTING TO BE OFFERED THIS WEEKEND IN JANUARY 5TH RUN-OFF ELECTION

Advance voting will be offered over the weekend for the January 5th run-off election. Floyd County voters may cast their advance ballots at the Elections Office, located at the county’s Administration Building on East 4th Avenue, on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm, or at Garden Lakes Baptist Church, 2200 Redmond Circle, on Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm and this Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm.

In-person early voting in the runoff began this past Monday. Votes may also be cast on weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm at both locations through December 31st, aside from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The polls will be open on Election Day from 7 am to 7 pm.

Eyes across the US are on this runoff in Georgia as it will determine who will hold the majority in the US Senate. Republican incumbents Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue face opposition from Democrats Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. A post on the Public Service Commission is also up for a vote.
