CONFIRMED CORONAVIRUS CASES PASSED 500,000 MARK IN GEORGIA OVER THE WEEKEND

Georgia passed the 500,000 mark in number of confirmed coronavirus cases over the weekend, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 5,120 new cases and two virus-related deaths on Sunday.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 509,588 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 9,437. In Floyd County, there were 6,107 confirmed cases and 98 fatalities. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 45,576 and the most deaths with 718.
