DPH REPORTS MORE THAN 3,000 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS ON MONDAY IN GEORGIA, LAUNCHES VACCINE DASHBOARD

A total of 3,121 new cases of coronavirus were reported across Georgia on Tuesday by the state’s Department of Public Health, which additionally noted 16 more virus-related deaths.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 512,699 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 9,453. In Floyd County, there were 6,154 confirmed cases and 99 fatalities. Gwinnett County had the most confirmed cases in the state with 45,864, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 718.

The DPH has announced the launch of a vaccine dashboard that will track the number of providers enrolled to give vaccines, the allocations and shipments from vaccine manufacturers, and vaccines administered. The dashboard will reflect totals from the previous day and will be updated each Monday through Friday at 6 pm on the DPH website.
