FLOYD COUNTY PAWS WELCOMES THE PUBLIC TO ADOPT A PET THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Floyd County PAWS (Public Animal Welfare Services) is attempting to get as many of their animals in forever homes as possible before the end of the year. There is still time to adopt a pet for Christmas, asserts Jeff Mitchell, Director, who encourages the public to call (706) 236-4537 to schedule a visit.

If you have been thinking about giving a pet as a Christmas gift, be sure that the recipient is ready for that responsibility. Mitchell says that a pet could be the perfect gift for the right person in the right situation.

Mitchell states that PAWS additionally seeks donations from the public at this time since donations have been on the decline in this era of coronavirus. One way to contribute is through the Christmas Card Blitz fundraiser in which the public is asked to send a Christmas card along with a donation of $1 or more to the shelter pets.
