MORE THAN 6,000 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED IN GEORGIA ON TUESDAY

A total of 6,242 new cases of coronavirus were reported across Georgia on Tuesday by the state’s Department of Public Health, which additionally noted 52 more virus-related fatalities.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 518,902 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 9,502. In Floyd County, there were 6,205 confirmed cases and 99 fatalities. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 46,666 and the most deaths with 718.
