STATE TROOPERS URGE CAUTION ON GEORGIA’S ROADS DURING THE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY TRAVEL PERIODS

The Georgia State Patrol and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division urge all motorists to exercise safe driving habits during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday travel periods, as stated in a media release from the state Department of Public Safety. State troopers will be on high visibility patrols through this holiday time in an effort to reduce the number of crashes on Georgia’s roads. The 78-hour Christmas travel period gets underway this evening at 6 pm and ends at 11:59 pm on Sunday, December 27th.
