NEARLY 3,000 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED ACROSS GEORGIA ON SUNDAY

A total of 2,968 new cases of coronavirus were reported across Georgia on Sunday by the state’s Department of Public Health, which additionally noted five more virus-related fatalities.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 543,707 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 9,714. In Floyd County, there were 6,464 confirmed cases and 106 deaths. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 49,027 and the most fatalities with 731.
