The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center, located at 412 Lavender Drive, will hold a Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, January 16th from 9 am to 3 pm. Appointments must be made in advance via phone at (706) 291-5266. According to a release from Floyd County’s Public Works Director Michael Skeen, items typically collected include liquids such as used motor oil, paint, herbicides, and pesticides, in addition to computers, televisions, recorders, and most any peripheral equipment like keyboards and printers. This event is open to Floyd County residents only.
