HAWKS FALL TO HORNETS AT STATE FARM ARENA

The Atlanta Hawks lost to the Charlotte Hornets 102-94 on Wednesday night at State Farm Arena, marking the Hawks’ third straight loss.

Gordon Hayward scored a game-high and career-high 44 points for Charlotte. John Collins was Atlanta’s top scorer with 23 points; he also had 11 rebounds. Hawks ace Trae Young only had seven points.

The Hawks’ record now stands at an even 4-4 for the 2020-21 season. They’ll return to action versus the Hornets this Saturday in Charlotte; tip off is slated for 7 pm.
