Georgia’s Governor Brian Kemp condemned the actions of the rioters via his Twitter page and in a press conference. Kemp indicated, “This is absolutely disgraceful, un-American, and must stop immediately.”
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have also condemned the incident. The US Congress officially formalized Joe Biden’s win in the presidential election very early this morning. President Donald Trump has stated that there will be an orderly transition of power.
