POP-UP FOOD MARKET SET FOR TODAY AT THE COOSA VALLEY FAIRGROUNDS, FCS’ CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAM RECEIVES A GRANT FROM NO CHILD HUNGRY

The Floyd County Schools will team with Alto Park Elementary and Floyd County Child Nutrition this afternoon to host a Pop-Up Food Market at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds. It will take place from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. All families will go home with about 50 pounds of food. A link to register online ahead of time is posted on the event Facebook page. Participants are asked to remain in their cars and be prepared to wait. This is a market partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

The school system announced via a media release on Tuesday that their Child Nutrition program has received a $40,000 grant from No Kid Hungry to feed kids during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
