KEEP ROME FLOYD BEAUTIFUL TO HOST AN MLK SERVICE DAY CLEANUP ON MONDAY

Keep Rome Floyd Beautiful has scheduled an MLK Service Day Cleanup for Monday at 9 am under the Turner McCall bridge. Volunteers will meet at the Garner and Glover parking lot, according to KRFB Director Emma Wells.

The community is invited to pitch in a helping hand at this event, says Wells, who adds that last year’s MLK Service Day Cleanup generated a huge turnout of volunteers that cleaned up an illegal dump site in Armuchee.

For additional information about Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful’s service to the community, visit www.keepromefloydbeautiful.org. Wells additionally urges locals to follow KRFB on social media.

A number of (mostly) virtual events are being held over this weekend by the MLK Commission of Rome and NWGA in honor of slain Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
