The Junior Service League of Rome is now accepting applications from local non-profits for its Community Partnership Program for the 2021-2022 league year.
Cristine Pilgrim, Vice President, states that applications are due on February 8th for the program, via which the JSL volunteers conduct service projects and member drives to benefit 501(c)(3) organizations in need.
The league is not soliciting applications for financial grants this year, due to the cancellation of some of its fundraising events back in 2020 because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, adds Pilgrim.
Community Partners for 2020-21 have included Brighter Birthdays, the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Georgia, Young Life, Restoration Rome, Harbor House, Hospitality House for Women, The Sweet Cocoon, and the William S. Davies Homeless Shelters, says Deana Perry, President, who adds that league volunteers have put in the work (from a safe social distance).
Applications for the Community Partnership Program may be completed on the Junior Service League of Rome’s website at www.jslofrome.com. Every applicant must be a 501(c)(3) organization with special interest in improving the lives of women and children in Rome and Floyd County.
