NEARLY 5,000 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED ACROSS GEORGIA ON TUESDAY, OVER 484,000 HAVE BEEN VACCINATED

A total of 4,943 new cases of coronavirus were reported across Georgia on Tuesday by the state’s Department of Public Health, which additionally noted 170 more virus-related fatalities. One of those fatalities was reported here in Floyd County.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 689,676 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 11,265. In Floyd County, there were 7,906 confirmed cases and 123 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 65,424, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 824.
