The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Detroit Pistons 123-115 in overtime at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Wednesday night. That marked the second straight victory for the Hawks.
Atlanta’s Trae Young notched a game-high 38 points, in addition to 10 assists. Clint Capela chipped in 27 points, as well as a career-high 26 rebounds. John Collins had 31 points and 11 rebounds.
Jerami Grant had a team-high 32 points for Detroit, which now has the worst record in the NBA’s Eastern Conference at 3-11.
The Hawks improved to an even 7-7 for the 2020-21 regular season. They’ll return to action on Friday night up in Minnesota versus the Timberwolves; tip off is set for 8 pm Eastern.
