MORE THAN 3,500 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED IN GEORGIA ON MONDAY, OVER 674,000 HAVE BEEN VACCINATED

A total of 3,559 new cases of coronavirus were reported across Georgia on Monday by the state’s Department of Public Health, which additionally noted 53 more virus-related deaths. One of the fatalities was reported here in Floyd County.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 722,062 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 11,854. In Floyd County, there were 8,285 confirmed cases and 133 fatalities. Gwinnett County had this state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 70,657, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 855.

As of the most recent report at 5:50 pm on Monday night, 674,967 vaccines had been administered across the state.
