CORONAVIRUS DEATH TOLL EXCEEDS 12,000 IN GEORGIA ON THURSDAY; OVER 791,000 VACCINES HAVE BEEN ADMINISTERED STATEWIDE

A total of 4,128 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Georgia on Wednesday by the state Department of Public Health, which also noted 139 more virus-related deaths. Two of those fatalities were reported in Floyd County.
According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 731,826 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 12,135. Here in Floyd County, there were 8,394 confirmed cases and 135 deaths. Gwinnett County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 71,899, and Fulton County had the most fatalities with 866.
