Students in the nursing program at Georgia Highlands College are putting their skills to work and pitching in their assistance with the administration of COVID-19 vaccines at local clinics, as indicated in a release from GHC.
GHC has partnered with the Georgia Department of Public Health (in the Northwest Health District) and WellStar Health System to aid vaccine clinics around Northwest Georgia and metro Atlanta.
Michelle Boyce, Dean of Health Sciences, asserts that all first-year and second-year nursing students have an opportunity to assist in the process. She believes that the GHC students’ involvement with this vaccine rollout is a reflection of their commitment to helping the community.
