CORONAVIRUS DEATH TOLL EXCEEDS 13,000 IN GEORGIA, OVER 1.07 MILLION HAVE BEEN VACCINATED

The number of fatalities due to coronavirus in Georgia has passed 13,000, per the state Department of Public Health, which reported 4,011 new cases and 141 more virus-related deaths on Thursday.
According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 763,077 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 13,048. Here in Floyd County, there have been 8,734 confirmed cases and 141 deaths. Gwinnett County reported the state’s largest number of confirmed cases with 75,268, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 927.

As of the latest update at 5:58 pm on Thursday evening, 1,073,482 of the vaccines had been administered statewide.
