CORONAVIRUS UPDATE FROM THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

A total of 2,492 new cases of coronavirus were reported across Georgia on Monday by the state’s Department of Public Health, which additionally noted 35 more virus-related fatalities.

According to the latest report by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 775,466 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide. The state’s death toll now stands at 13,361. In Floyd County, there were 8,837 confirmed cases and 142 fatalities. Gwinnett County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 76,296, and Fulton County had the most deaths with 944.
