The Rome City Commission voted at a virtual meeting via Zoom on Monday evening to extend the city’s face covering ordinance through March 7th, 2021 at 11:59 pm in an effort to curb community spread of coronavirus. Also, Joe Cordona was honored (virtually) by Commissioners for being selected as the Rome Police Department’s 2020 Officer of the Year. The department honored Cordona earlier in the day, as well as Katie Hibberts as their 2020 Civilian of the Year.
