CRBI INTENDS TO REMAIN FLEXIBLE IN PLANNING EVENTS FOR 2021 AMID ONGOING PANDEMIC

It is challenging for local non-profits to plan events in this era of coronavirus. This has definitely been the case for the Coosa River Basin Initiative, whose mission is to protect, preserve, and restore the upper Coosa River basin. Jesse Demonbreun-Chapman, Executive Director, says that organization’s board of directors’ goal for 2021 is to remain flexible. He hopes at some point later in the year to reintroduce paddle trips and maybe even the annual Fish Fry.

Demonbreun-Chapman adds that the CRBI is very thankful for memberships, donations, and purchases which have allowed the organization to continue its work as an advocate for cleaner water.

The CRBI aims to host a virtual membership meeting in March, according to Demonbreun-Chapman, who urges the public to visit www.coosa.org and the CRBI’s social media outlets for updates.
