The Atlanta Hawks were edged by the Dallas Mavericks 118-117 in an NBA outing at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX on Wednesday evening, and that allowed the Mavericks to sweep the season series between the teams 2-0.
John Collins led all players in scoring with 33 points for Atlanta. Trae Young had 25 points and 15 assists, while Kevin Huerter had 23 points.
Luka Doncic had a team-high 28 points for Dallas, along with 10 assists and 10 rebounds.
The Hawks have fallen to 11-13 on the 2020-21 regular season. They will be back on their home court at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta this Friday night as hosts to the San Antonio Spurs; tip off is set for 7:30 pm.
