ROME-FLOYD SPORTS HALL OF FAME DELAYS THE INDUCTION OF THE CLASS OF ’21 UNTIL ’22

The Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame has opted to delay the induction of the Class of 2021 until 2022, according to a media release by Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. This is due to the uncertain nature of the coronavirus and the limitation on number of people allowed at indoor gatherings.

Five honorees will be inducted during a ceremony in early Spring 2022. That list includes Tim Garrett, Lee-Anda Hutchens, Chris Jones, Lee Mitchell, and Brian Smith. The HOF committee could add up to three more inductees in a combination of the ’21 and ’22 classes; a final decision will be made later this year.

Winners of the Pinson Student Athlete Scholarships will be honored during a special event this Spring.
