LOCAL LEADERS HONOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Rome City Commissioners met on Monday evening via Zoom. Their virtual gathering featured a presentation for Black History Month. The commission also approved an amendment to their Community Development Block Grant program to accept additional funds from the CARES Act. That meeting was streamed live and may still be viewed on Facebook on the City of Rome, GA – Government page.

The Floyd County Commission is set to honor Black History Month at their regular meeting today with recognition of local leaders. That gathering will be held in-person at the Forum River Center; caucus is slated for 4 pm in the Floyd Room with the meeting at 6 pm in the ballroom.
