HAWKS EDGED BY CAVS (WHO END A 10-GAME LOSING STREAK)

The Atlanta Hawks were edged by the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-111 in NBA action on Tuesday night in Cleveland. That allowed Cleveland to sweep the two-game season series between the teams.

Collin Sexton led all players in scoring with 29 points for the Cavs, who also snapped a 10-game losing skid (the longest in the NBA this season).

Trae Young scored a team-high 28 points for the Hawks. He also contributed 12 assists. (This after learning that he will not play in the NBA All-Star game this year.)

The Hawks have now fallen to 13-18 on the 2020-21 regular season. They’ll be back on their home court to face the Boston Celtics this evening; tip off is set for 7:30 pm.
