The American Red Cross of Northwest Georgia continues to urge those who are eligible to donate blood. Leigh Barba, Executive Director, indicates that blood types O positive and negative are particularly needed at this time.
The next Red Cross blood drive in Rome is set for Monday, March 15th from 2 pm until 7 pm at the chapter office, 112 John Maddox Drive. Barba asks all donors to schedule their appointments in advance at www.redcrossblood.org. One blood donation can save up to three lives.
The American Red Cross is also seeking monetary donations to support their efforts to assist those impacted by the recent winter storm in Texas and other disasters. Contributions may be made at www.redcross.org.
