DAVIES HOMELESS SHELTERS CONTINUE TO FIELD CALLS FROM THOSE IMPACTED BY PANDEMIC

The William S. Davies Homeless Shelters have continued to field calls from those impacted by coronavirus, whether through a loss of employment or any other challenge. Devon Smyth, Executive Director, asserts that some call for simple advice, while others seek shelter.

Smyth says that The Shelter, which is intended for men, and Ruth and Naomi House, intended for women and their children, offer the comforts of home to those who are in need of shelter, along with food and other necessities to the community at large.

Case managers connect clients to services within the community to include assistance with substance abuse and mental health, as well as employment opportunities, indicates Smyth.

Smyth says that donations from the public towards this mission are always welcome. Concerned citizens may donate on the website of the William S. Davies Homeless Shelters at www.daviesshelter.com.
