GEORGIA HOUSE PASSES CONTROVERSIAL VOTING BILL

The Georgia House of Representatives passed House Bill 531 on Monday, a bill aimed at revising the state’s voting laws. It passed along party lines by a final vote of 97-72 with Republicans in favor and Democrats against. The 66-page bill may be viewed at www.legis.ga.gov. The matter now heads over to the state Senate, which has its own version of the bill.
