FLOYD COUNTY COMMISSION CHAIR BAGBY SAYS COUNTY’S ECONOMY FARED PRETTY WELL IN 2020, DESPITE CHALLENGES BROUGHT ON BY CORONAVIRUS

Floyd County’s economy fared pretty well in 2020, in spite of the challenges brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, asserts Wright Bagby, Chairman of the county’s Board of Commissioners, who believes that economic heartache was largely avoided because of Governor Brian Kemp’s decision to allow the communities across Georgia to re-open. Bagby also applauds Floyd County’s medical community for their efforts to nurse the public back to health .

Bagby attests that Floyd County ended last year with a balanced budget and increased revenues.

County officials have big plans for 2021, such as the completion of SPLOST projects, according to Bagby.

Bagby encourages the public to view the 2020 Floyd County Annual Report, which is available at www.romefloyd.com.
