ADDITIONAL MASS COVID-19 VACCINATION SITES IN GEORGIA ANNOUNCED BY GOVERNOR KEMP

Governor Brian Kemp was joined on Wednesday at the State Capitol by the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Commissioner Dr. Kathleen Toomey and Georgia Emergency Management/Homeland Security Agency’s Director Chris Stallings to announce that five new mass COVID-19 vaccination sites will be added around the state. One will open in Bartow County at the Lake Point Sports Complex. The additional locations will include Chatham, Ware, Washington, and Muscogee Counties. All sites are slated to open March 17th.

Kemp states that, “With expanded eligibilty beginning March 8th and 75,000 currently eligible Georgians on a wait list for appointments at our operating mass vaccination sites, demand for the vaccine is still very high.”
