BRAVES EDGE RED SOX IN SPRING TRAINING MATCH DOWN IN NORTH PORT, FL

The Atlanta Braves beat the Boston Red Sox 5-4 in a Spring Training match on Sunday afternoon at CoolToday Park in North Port, FL.

Atlanta jumped to an early lead on a three-run double from Dansby Swanson in the bottom of the first inning. Cristian Pache added an RBI triple to make it 4-0 in the second. However, Boston tied it up with four runs during the top of the sixth; this was a rally that began on a wild pitch by Huascar Ynoa. But the Braves regained the lead in the seventh, thanks to an RBI double by Pablo Sandoval. Tyler Matzek was credited with the win, and Victor Arano picked up the save. Former Rome Brave Charlie Morton was the starting pitcher for Atlanta..

The Braves are off today and will get back into action on Tuesday afternoon in North Port versus the Pittsburgh Pirates.
