FLOYD COUNTY PAWS POISED TO ASSIST PET OWNERS IN NEED WITH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR SPAYING AND NEUTERING

Those who need financial assistance with spaying or neutering their pets may qualify for help from Floyd County PAWS (Public Animal Welfare Services), thanks to a grant from the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Jeff Mitchell, PAWS Director, says that funds are limited. The ultimate goal is to cut down on Floyd County’s stray population.

For more details, contact PAWS via phone at (706) 236-4537. That’s also the number to call if you’re interested in adopting a dog or a cat; Mitchell asserts that adoptions continue to be conducted by appointment only.
