BRAVES DROP SPRING TRAINING MATCH TO PIRATES

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-1 on Tuesday afternoon in a Spring Training match at CoolToday Park in North Port, FL.

Ryan Goins scored on a balk in the bottom of the ninth inning to account for Atlanta’s lone run of the day. Drew Smyly was tagged with the loss.

The Braves will be in Fort Myers today to face the Boston Red Sox. Starting pitcher Max Fried is poised to make his Grapefruit League debut for this year after being sidelined due to potential coronavirus exposure. The first pitch is set for 1:05 pm.
